DO NOT USE THIS GUIDE Service. Aaron Atkinson will book your hunt, cancel and not refund your money. I had to take him to court to get awarded my money back but still have not heard from him. He showed up at the hearing, did not dispute the charge, and promptly left.

He showed up at the hearing, did not dispute the charge, and promptly left. i went throught the same thing too last fall,but they told me he got hurt and would provide the agreed hunt this year..his son told me they were going to reschedule the hunt for the fall of 2012. ive hunted there two prior years with no trouble till last fall when he fell out of a treestand and broke his leg , hip and ribs is what i was told i wouldnt have any reason not to doubt him he was a pretty straight shooter he may have run into money issues i know this was a main source of income for him and if he got hurt that would definitely place a burden on him?i'm not too worried about the money due to the fact, i know who owns the land he was guiding on and have hunted the area before and know who to ask permission to hunt there. it's a bad situation anyway you look at it . |

i was just looking to see if the not a very nice person was trying to screw people this year. and this site came up... awesome!!!! dont use the service cause there isnt one!!!!

He did not make any attempt to reschedule hunt with either myself or my buddy. Go to Canastota.com to find links for pressing charges against him. Village Court, you will need to file papers, attend hearing. In turn you will win, then you will need to file a lien against his property so that if he ever sells anything you may see some of your money but unlikely.

I have hunted with Aaron 4 times for two seasons both spring and fall. this was 5 years ago. he was pretty decent to me and let me stay at his house saving me the motel bill. I don't know what happened, he had been a decent guy to hunt with, maybe a little weird at times, but to each his own. I can no longer contact him. he always took my calls and got back to me. Its too bad he took money and didn't give you a hunt. He has fallen apart it seems like, too bad I wanted to take a fall hunt with him. turkey trot acres is way to expensive for a turkey hunt. please post any changes to your situation. Rick

I also got burned by Aaron.
I hunted with him for fall turkey for 4 years. I always figured he was a little shady, but he didn't charge a lot, and we always filled my tags. His turkey dog was excellent (at first), and he made decent turkey calls.
The last year I hunted with him, he was hungover the whole time. I should have just ended any association with him then, but I just figured he fell off the wagon and would get back on track. He called me up begging for $$ for "next year's" hunt, I caved and sent him $275. I showed up in the fall(he never called to cancel) and gave me 100 excuses why he couldn't hunt, most involving his bad back and a fall from a treestand, and said he'd send me back my money- I'm STILL waiting (2011).
Sad situation, he was a pretty decent guide at one time.

HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN i could have even got him a $80,000 a year job for his son matt,nephew and himself driving truck for the oilfield and free housing during the oil boom in north dakota but they all declined so not sure what happened? |
